Smacking your child for misbehaving shouldn’t be against the law. I was smacked when I was a child and I learnt not to do whatever I was doing wrong again, same as the rest of my family members and other relatives. For example, the other day my Nan was trying to get my cousin Mason, 5, to either put shoes on or take off his socks and put thongs on when he was playing outside, she asked him multiple times to do as he was told, but he didn’t listen, so my mother stepped in and threatened Mason that if he didn’t do as he was told she would smack him on the bottom, he went straight to the house and put on some shoes. There is a very big difference between child abuse and physical punishment for a misbehaving child.
