Remember our success in the RACV energy challenge? We're at it again. The Maroondah Grand Prix is the next challenge awaiting the students involved in this year’s Energy Car program. With over 70 teams from all over the state entered, and up to 3500 spectators expected to attend, this will certainly be an exciting weekend. Maroondah is a two-day event, with scrutineering and practice on the saturday and a six hour race on Sunday. Race dates are saturday, 12th September, and Sunday, 13th September, 2009.
The Grand Prix will be a perfect lead-up to the RACV Energy Breakthrough in Maryborough and a great chance to test the improvements in last year’s cars and see how our new car will perform.
One of our innovations for this year is to design and build a new aerodynamic body for our cars and Mr Inglis has been instrumental in making this happen. Chris’ new design is stunning and will be completely different to our old body shape. We are very grateful to him for all his help.
All students involved in the Maroondah Grand Prix will receive an information sheet early next week regarding cost and further details of this fantastic event.
Good luck to our fantastic teams: Night Rider, Electric Storm and Road Runner!!
