Bronte top apprentice
Variety is the spice of life - just ask furniture making apprentice Bronte McCann. The first year apprentice has been cutting his teeth at Cobden Kitchens and Joinery and is loving every second. "It's just really hands on," he said. "I wouldn't like sitting in an office doing the same thing over and over' The 18-year old's dedication to his trade saw him recently named Homesglen TAFE's apprentice of the year for certificate three in furniture making. Bronte attends TAFE in weekly blocks combined with his work for Greg Sueter at Cobden Kitchens. In that time the former Cobden Technical School student has done everything from kitchen joinery to huge home entertainment units. There is definitely plenty of variety," he said. "We are always doing something different:'
